A remarkable night at London’s Hyde Park took place yesterday (July 6th, 2025) with pop powerhouse Sabrina Carpenter performing to 65,000 adoring fans for the second night in a row for the BST festival. There are very few artists around at the moment that possess the magnetic pull that Sabrina does, and her headline show last night was superstar status personified.
Everything about Sabrina screams global star: the hair, outfits, dance moves, and killer vocals, and her headlining showcase on Sunday night was nothing short of iconic. She manages to offer fans a dash of cute girl-next-door combined with a natural sex appeal and innuendo-laden lyrics that offer a tongue-in-cheek, quirky appeal.
Her global appeal is there for all to see but her dry humour and quick wit make her a real fan favourite in the UK, few American artists have that instant connection with Brits and able to connect the way Carpenter does with seamless ease, something she picked up on last night starting “I hear you love your dry humour, which is why I love it here”.
Her set at Hyde Park saw her rattling through an eclectic 17-song set list that included some of her biggest worldwide hits, including latest single ‘Man Child’, ‘Juno’, ‘Bed Chem’, and ‘Taste’ to name a few, of course the closing number was the smash ‘Espresso’ which had the packed audience in full voice once again.
One of the best parts of the night, though, was that we got to see Sabrina step into some more vulnerable and intimate moments on the ballads ‘Sharpest Tool’ and ‘Couldn’t Make It Any Harder’; this is where really got to see the woman underneath the stage persona. These were the moments that we got to witness her vocal prowess
The “didn’t see that coming” moment was the fact that halfway through, she brought out 80s icons Duran Duran, though. I don’t think anyone was expecting this, and it was a real curveball from Carpenter, but it made for something truly iconic and a real British moment.
These Hyde Park shows felt like a real defining moment in Sabrina Carpenter’s career, and they will go down as some of the best performances she has ever delivered. Her Sunday slot was nothing short of iconic, and it will live long in the memory of all those in attendance.
